Identity Plus was not born in a research lab. It was built by practitioners who spent decades inside the systems where the identity problem is real - securing financial infrastructure, designing enterprise architecture, navigating the gap between how security is supposed to work and how it actually does.
The founding belief is simple: accountability is not a feature you bolt on. It is the architecture you build from. Every member of this team - founders and advisors alike - shares that conviction and brings it to bear from a different angle.
Stefan is the inventor of the Self-Authority identity model and the architect behind Identity Plus. His work begins with a conviction that most security problems are not technology problems - they are architecture problems, and the current architecture of the Internet defaults everyone, by design, to the credential paradigm.
He holds an M.Sc.Eng. in Industrial Automation and Robotics from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca and has spent 25 years building at the intersection of Internet infrastructure, cybersecurity, software architecture, and systems thinking. Before founding Identity Plus he served as Principal Security Architect at Flutter UK & Ireland, responsible for securing one of Europe's most complex multi-cloud financial technology platforms.
His thinking extends well beyond security: his research on ice-dome construction for atmosphereless space bodies was published in the Journal of the British Interplanetary Society and directly inspired a first-place NASA Mars Habitat Design award. He speaks at international conferences on cybersecurity, identity, and the architecture of trust - and publishes on Defiant Ink and the YouTube channel The Trust Protocol, exploring identity, accountability, and the security of a digital world that increasingly thinks for itself.
Geoff brings the enterprise commercial reality that transforms deep technology into market adoption. His 25-year career spans financial services, telecommunications, and technology across three continents - always at the intersection of security, infrastructure, and the organisational will to change.
He served as SVP of Technology at Service Credit Union and as SVP Head of Information Technology at ATN International, and spent four years as Head of Technology Strategy at Citizens Financial Group, where he led the infrastructure transformation programme through a successful IPO separation from RBS. Earlier, at COLT Technology Services in London, he built and led the Managed Services product team across thirteen European countries, delivering $205M in revenue at over 30% annual growth. He also served on the board of Dora Financial.
He holds an MBA from Babson Olin Graduate School of Business, an MS in Telecommunications from the University of Colorado, and an Executive Certificate from MIT Sloan. At Identity Plus his focus is revenue generation - building the enterprise relationships and partner channels that carry the technology from architecture to adoption. He writes on trust, security strategy, and the future of enterprise identity in his LinkedIn newsletter, TrustOS.
